Role Description The Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Hotel Rosewood Kanpur. The person in this role develops and executes sales strategies to drive room and banquet revenue, build corporate and group business, and strengthen relationships with travel partners and local organizations. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing key accounts, preparing proposals and contracts, and coordinating with the front office, reservations, and banquet teams to ensure seamless service delivery. The Sales Manager tracks performance against targets, prepares regular sales reports, and participates in promotional activities, networking events, and site visits to showcase the property. This role also involves monitoring market trends and competitor activity to support pricing, packaging, and promotional decisions.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in hotel or hospitality sales, account management, and client relationship building.
Experience with business development, lead generation, and negotiation of corporate or group contracts.
Ability to plan and execute sales strategies, prepare forecasts, and analyze sales performance data.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse clients and teams.
Proficiency in using CRM tools, reservation systems, and standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation tools).
Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple accounts and deadlines.
Prior experience in hotel sales or hospitality industry roles, particularly in a similar city or regional market, is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality management, marketing, or a related field is advantageous; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed, including occasional evenings, weekends, or event days.
