Role Description This is a full-time remote Developer role responsible for building, maintaining, and improving software solutions that support Ocean Roam Telecommunications’ services and internal systems. Day-to-day tasks include designing and implementing clean, efficient code, debugging and resolving technical issues, and participating in code reviews to ensure quality and performance. The Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and contribute to system architecture and integration efforts. The role also involves writing technical documentation, optimizing applications for scalability and reliability, and continuously learning new tools and technologies relevant to telecommunications and software engineering.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript) and experience with modern frameworks or libraries.
Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (e.g., Git), testing, debugging, and code review processes.
Experience working with APIs, databases (SQL or NoSQL), and integrating services within distributed or cloud-based environments.
Understanding of basic networking concepts and interest in telecommunications or communication systems is highly beneficial.
Ability to collaborate effectively in remote teams, communicate clearly in written and spoken English, and manage time and tasks independently.
Familiarity with Agile or similar development methodologies and comfort using common collaboration tools (e.g., issue trackers, project boards).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
