## About the Role
E Tech Group is seeking a **Lead Controls Engineer** to join its Mission Critical data center team and support the design, development, deployment, installation, and commissioning of industrial automation solutions. E Tech Group provides engineering and system integration services across Life Sciences, Mission Critical, Metals & Mining, Warehousing & Distribution, and CPG/Food & Beverage industries.
In this role, you will support projects from design through implementation, perform quality checks and bench testing of PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs, and provide onsite and remote commissioning support. The position requires collaboration across teams, an organized and methodical approach, flexibility in scheduling, and the ability to travel across the United States.
## Key Responsibilities
* Support execution of project work from design through implementation.
* Perform quality checks and bench testing of **PLC, HMI, and SCADA** programs.
* Provide onsite and remote support for commissioning system design changes.
* Travel across the United States and maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate project requirements.
* Develop and modify design documentation, including:
* Drawing packages
* Methods of procedure
* Sequence of operations
* Testing scripts
* Create tools, methods, and approaches that improve engineering efficiency.
* Develop and lead internal and external training classes.
* Assist the Business Development team in evaluating and promoting opportunities through predesigns, estimates, and in-person presentations.
* Support industrial automation system integration and high-performance, scalable, and secure automation applications.

## Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
* **7+ years of experience in the control system industry.**
* Ability to work independently on projects and tasks using an organized and methodical approach.
* Basic understanding of **control system network topologies**.
* Experience commissioning systems in **live environments**.
* Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as required by projects.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with **PLC- or DDC-controlled data center projects**.
* Experience with:

* FactoryTalk View SE
* OPC UA/DA
* Rockwell PLCs
