Role Description : The Security Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing and strengthening the security posture of client and internal environments. This position involves leading security programs, defining policies and procedures, and coordinating risk assessments across physical, network, and information systems. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring security operations, reviewing logs and alerts, managing incident investigation and response, and ensuring alignment with relevant standards and compliance requirements. The Security Manager will collaborate with engineering, operations, and client teams to implement security controls, guide remediation activities, and contribute to secure architecture and DevSecOps practices. The role also includes reporting on security metrics, preparing documentation, and providing security awareness and guidance to internal stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications :
Strong skills in Security Management and governance, including policy development, risk assessment, and security program leadership.
Experience with Information Security and Cybersecurity practices, such as threat analysis, incident response, and security control implementation.
Proficiency in Network Security concepts and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention, and secure network design.
Understanding of Physical Security principles, including access control, asset protection, and coordination with facilities or operations teams.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or equivalent) and familiarity with standards such as ISO 27001 and other regulatory frameworks.
Experience working with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, DevSecOps practices, and security automation tools is highly beneficial.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in distributed, remote teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
