Role Description The Computer Networking role at NIT-Service is a full-time remote position focused on maintaining and improving network infrastructure for internal and external stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and monitoring network devices, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and ensuring stable and secure network operations. The role involves implementing and managing network security measures, supporting cybersecurity initiatives, and applying best practices to protect data and systems. The individual will collaborate with other IT team members to manage operating systems, perform routine maintenance, document network configurations, and assist in planning network upgrades. This role also includes responding to incidents, optimizing performance, and providing clear technical communication to both technical and non-technical partners.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Computer Networking and Network Administration.
Candidates should possess skills in Network Security and Cybersecurity to protect infrastructure and data.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Operating Systems (such as Windows, Linux, or macOS) in networked environments.
Relevant experience with routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks is beneficial.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools, incident response, and performance optimization is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting and communicate effectively in English with diverse teams.
A relevant degree or certification (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, CCNA, CompTIA Network+) is a plus.
