Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant – Finance & Accounts to join a dynamic finance team in a critical, hands-on role.
The position will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, reconciliation, and timely consolidation of financial information across multiple business segments, including Advisory, Servicing, Private Real Estate Funds, Working Capital, and a Publicly Traded REIT.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in US GAAP, NetSuite, multi-entity accounting, financial consolidation, and month-end close, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities🔹 Accounting Review & Data Integration
Review accounting records and financial data prepared by third-party accounting partners.
Validate transactions across multiple entities for accuracy and completeness.
Review Servicing business accounting, including loan payoffs, servicing fees, and related income.
Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Convert and reconcile fund-level accounting data into NetSuite-compatible journal entries and uploads.
Coordinate with external accounting firms and fund administrators to ensure data accuracy and timely resolution.
🔹 Accounts Payable & Expense Management
Review GL coding of corporate invoices, expenses, and vendor bills through the Ramp platform.
Ensure appropriate allocation of expenses across departments, business units, and legal entities.
Identify REIT-eligible expenses and ensure proper tagging, allocation, and recharge.
Maintain strong controls over expense classification and reporting.
🔹 Cash Reconciliation & Treasury Support
Perform bank and cash reconciliations across multiple corporate and operating accounts.
Investigate and resolve unreconciled transactions.
Ensure accurate and complete recording of cash balances and related accounting entries.
Support timely account reconciliations as part of the month-end close process.
🔹 NetSuite Reporting & Financial Consolidation
Extract, analyze, and interpret financial data from NetSuite for management reporting.
Prepare standardized financial reporting packages and management reports.
Support intercompany accounting, cross-entity expenses, and P&L allocations.
Assist with departmental allocation processes based on timesheet data.
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
Contribute to consolidated financial statements and management reporting.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Qualified CA / US CPA.
10+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate accounting, GL accounting, financial reporting, or related areas.
Strong hands-on experience with US GAAP and financial statement preparation.
Advanced hands-on experience with NetSuite – Mandatory.
Strong experience in multi-entity accounting and financial consolidation.
Proven experience managing month-end and period-end close.
Experience reviewing and reconciling accounting data received from third-party accounting firms, fund administrators, or outsourced service providers.
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to independently identify and resolve accounting issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with finance leadership, external partners, and cross-functional teams.
Self-driven and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Hands-on individual contributor role; people-management experience is not required.
