Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Highway Engineer role based in Gorakhpur. The Highway Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and reviewing highway and roadway alignment, pavement, and associated civil works. Daily tasks include preparing design calculations and drawings, coordinating with survey teams, assessing site conditions, and supporting feasibility and detailed project reports for new and existing infrastructure projects. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, contractors, and government authorities to ensure designs meet technical standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines. The Highway Engineer will also assist in cost estimation, quality checks, and resolution of design-related issues during construction.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Highway Design and Highway Engineering, with the ability to develop safe and efficient road layouts.
Competence in Civil Engineering Design for highways and related structures, including drainage and earthworks.
Experience contributing to Feasibility Studies and planning for Infrastructure Projects.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
Familiarity with relevant design codes, standards, and highway specifications.
Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, highway design tools) and MS Office.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work on-site in Gorakhpur, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
Prior experience in highway or road construction projects is preferred.
