About the role

We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Forge Developer to design, develop, deploy and support custom applications within the Atlassian Cloud ecosystem. The role will primarily focus on Forge application development, custom UI, workflow extensions, APIs and integrations across Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence and Jira Product Discovery.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, deploy and maintain custom applications using Atlassian Forge.
Build Forge Custom UI and UI Kit applications to extend Atlassian Cloud functionality.
Develop custom functionality, workflow extensions, validations, dashboards and business logic using Forge.
Work with Forge APIs, Atlassian REST APIs, Jira Expressions, webhooks and event-based triggers.
Build and maintain Forge apps for Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence and Jira Product Discovery.
Develop secure integrations between Atlassian applications and external systems using REST APIs and OAuth.
Enhance Jira Service Management workflows, forms, approvals and customer portal functionality through Forge.
Troubleshoot, optimize and support existing Forge applications.
Manage Forge application deployments across multiple environments.
Follow secure development, code review, CI/CD, documentation and Atlassian development best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
4+ years of hands-on Atlassian Forge development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with the Atlassian Forge Framework.
Experience building Forge apps for Jira, JSM and/or Confluence.
Strong proficiency in:
JavaScript / TypeScript
Node.js
Forge Custom UI / UI Kit
Atlassian REST APIs
Jira Expressions
Webhooks & Events
OAuth / Authentication
JSON
Experience with Forge app deployment, debugging, permissions, security and environment management.
Experience developing custom workflow logic, UI extensions, forms, validations and integrations using Forge.
Good to Have
React.js experience for Forge Custom UI development.
Atlassian Connect experience.
Jira Automation and Jira Product Discovery experience.
Experience integrating Atlassian applications with SAP, Azure AD, SQL databases or third-party platforms.
CI/CD and DevOps experience.
Atlassian Marketplace app development experience.
Atlassian certifications.
