Role Description The Site Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Site Engineer will oversee day-to-day construction activities, monitor work progress, and ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with civil engineers, contractors, and supervisors, checking structural works, and resolving technical issues on site. The role involves conducting site inspections, preparing daily reports, supporting project planning and scheduling, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Site Engineer will also assist in material management, verify measurements, and support communication between project management and site teams.
Qualifications
Strong on-site supervision capabilities, with hands-on experience in managing daily construction activities and site coordination.
Effective communication skills for interacting with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients.
Knowledge of quality control processes, including inspection of materials and workmanship, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Solid understanding of structural engineering concepts and civil engineering practices relevant to building and infrastructure projects.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Proficiency in reading drawings and using basic engineering tools; familiarity with MS Office and site reporting tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment, with strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
Prior experience in building or infrastructure projects in India is an advantage.
