About the Opportunity:
The STAFF FULL STACK ENGINEER, TECHNICAL CHIEF OF STAFF role is a senior individual contributor position responsible for maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all ongoing and future projects within the organization. This role facilitates the removal of enterprise-level obstacles related to platform, security, risk, compliance, and procurement, ensuring smooth progress of technical initiatives. The position requires strong engineering expertise to credibly represent technical work and influence enterprise partners.
Responsibilities:
Maintain an up-to-date overview of technical and business activities across teams.
Anticipate and secure necessary platform support, tools, access, and approvals ahead of project needs.
Present progress and goals to senior leadership to obtain decisions, investments, and alignment.
Manage engagement with enterprise governance bodies including security, risk, compliance, and procurement.
Coordinate cross-team dependencies during major initiatives.
Represent and defend engineering architecture and technical decisions to enterprise partners.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
Minimum 7 years experience in software engineering, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture.
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
Preferred: 10+ years experience including web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, coding in multiple languages, database management, full system development lifecycle, public cloud platforms, networking protocols, mentoring, architectural leadership, and AI coding tools.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
McLean, VA: $269,100 - $307,200 for Staff Full-stack Engineer.
Eligible for performance-based incentive compensation including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
Pay range and salary vary by location and candidate qualifications.
