Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Rust Developer role based in Pasig. The Rust Developer will design, implement, and maintain backend services and system-level components using Rust, ensuring performance, reliability, and security. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and robust code, reviewing pull requests, refactoring existing functionality, and contributing to architectural decisions. The role involves collaborating closely with product managers, other developers, and QA to define requirements, plan sprints, and troubleshoot issues across the stack. The Rust Developer will also help improve development workflows, create technical documentation, and participate in testing and deployment activities.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Rust programming, including ownership, borrowing, and concurrency concepts.
Experience building backend services, APIs, or systems software with a focus on performance and reliability.
Familiarity with software architecture patterns, distributed systems, and common networking protocols.
Comfort with modern development workflows, including Git, code reviews, CI/CD, and automated testing.
Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Linux environments, containerization (e.g., Docker), or cloud platforms is an advantage.
Background in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
