Role Description This full-time remote Junior Engineer role supports the design and development of camper van components, accessories, and conversion systems for Vankea Pakistan. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting senior engineers with CAD modeling, basic product design, and technical drawings for cabinetry, mounting systems, and interior layouts. The Junior Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to review design requirements, incorporate feedback, and refine prototypes for manufacturability and safety. The role also involves preparing documentation, performing simple calculations, supporting quality checks, and helping resolve technical issues reported by customers or production partners. The person in this position is expected to communicate clearly with remote colleagues, manage tasks in coordination tools, and maintain organized project files.
Qualifications
Foundational engineering skills in mechanical or related disciplines, including basic CAD proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD) and understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, create simple schematics, and support product design for cabinetry, fixtures, and mounting systems.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail in measurements, fitment, and safety considerations for vehicle interiors.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with remote teams, suppliers, and cross-functional colleagues.
Comfort with digital tools for documentation, task tracking, and file management (e.g., Office/Google Suite, project management platforms).
Relevant degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field; fresh graduates and early-career candidates are encouraged to apply.
Interest in camper vans, automotive customization, or product design, with a willingness to learn industry standards and best practices.
Work Schedule
This role runs on an 8-hour workday with two mandatory overlap hours: 9:00–11:00 AM Pacific Time (that's 9:00–11:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time, or 9:30–11:30 PM India Standard Time), when you'll need to be online for team syncs and collaboration with the US side. The remaining six hours are flexible — structure them however works for your day.
Compensation
$200–$300 USD per month, depending on experience.
Qualifications
1+ year of relevant experience (CAD modeling, product design, or a related engineering role) is highly recommended. Strong fresh-graduate candidates with a solid CAD portfolio will also be considered.
