Mission Overview
The Detailer & Technical Collaborator supports the connection between engineering design and factory production. The position focuses on developing detailed production documentation, supporting manufacturing operations, and assisting in the digital preparation of components for automated production equipment
The collaboration will be organized around different projects assigned according to Senmar's ongoing workload and project requirements. The collaborator will work remotely, with online working sessions and consultation moments with the Technical Director at different stages of each project.
By working alongside structural engineers, production specialists, and machine programmers, the role contributes to the efficient delivery of timber-frame construction projects while building expertise in industrialized construction methods, advanced manufacturing technologies, and sustainable building systems.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
● Develop detailed production and shop drawings for prefabricated timber-frame panels and structural elements.
● Adapt architectural and engineering information into technically resolved solutions suitable for production and assembly.
● Support the production process remotely, ensuring compliance with design specifications and preparing adapted modification plans when required.
● Provide technical expertise and support throughout all project phases, from initial planning to final completion.
● Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that production and construction work meets design specifications, regulations, and standards.
● Develop standardized design solutions and protocols to optimize design and production workflows.
● Maintain accurate project documentation, including design progress, revisions, technical documentation, and change orders.
● Ensure all designs comply with applicable production methods, building codes, regulations, and company policies.
● Integrate sustainable construction practices into projects, with a focus on energy efficiency, waste reduction, production efficiency, and eco-friendly materials.
● Communicate project status, challenges, and milestones to relevant team members and project stakeholders.
Profile
● Degree or ongoing studies in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related technical field.
● Solid understanding of structural and engineering design principles.
● Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and applicable regulations.
● Proficiency in BIM software, specifically Revit.
● Experience in producing detailed technical shop drawings for manufacturing or on-site execution.
● Good understanding of timber-frame structures.
● Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
● Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
● Commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible construction practices.
● Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment and manage deadlines across different projects.
● Language requirement: English (minimum B2 level). Additional languages are considered an advantage.
