The Role
As a Web Design Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and improving visually engaging, responsive, and user-friendly web experiences. You will work closely with marketing, content, development, and business teams to translate ideas and requirements into effective digital designs.
This fully remote, part-time position is suited to a creative and detail-oriented professional who understands modern web design principles and can manage projects independently while maintaining a strong focus on usability, consistency, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop visually engaging layouts for websites and digital platforms.
Create responsive web experiences optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Develop wireframes, page structures, prototypes, and visual concepts based on project requirements.
Maintain consistent visual design, typography, spacing, navigation, and overall brand presentation.
Collaborate with developers, content teams, marketers, and other stakeholders throughout the design process.
Review existing websites and identify opportunities to improve usability, accessibility, and visual performance.
Translate business and user requirements into practical and engaging web design solutions.
Support landing pages, campaign pages, digital content, and other web-based initiatives.
Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback while maintaining project objectives.
Stay informed about current web design practices, user experience trends, and emerging digital technologies.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Web Design, Digital Design, Graphic Design, UX/UI, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of professional experience in web design, digital design, UI/UX, or a related discipline preferred.
Strong understanding of responsive design, user experience, visual hierarchy, and modern web standards.
Knowledge of website structures, design systems, accessibility principles, and usability practices.
Familiarity with wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and website content presentation.
Proficiency with relevant design and web-design tools and platforms.
Strong portfolio demonstrating practical web design and digital interface work.
Excellent visual judgment, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate design concepts clearly and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple design priorities independently within a fully remote working environment.
