India worships one sport. Every kid here can talk about a cover drive before they learn alphabet. But somewhere past the boundary ropes, a new arena is filling up cages instead of pitches, fighters instead of batsmen and it is growing faster than most people in the room realise.
Having spent close to two decades inside this sport, as India's only UFC panellist on Sony, I have witnessed MMA go from a niche YouTube search to genuine obsession for a generation that grew up on octagon highlights. Superhuman Sportz exists to give that obsession a real home - India's first structured combat sports IP, built fighter-first, from Amateur to Pro.
We have run the events. We have filled the galleries. Now we need someone who can walk into a boardroom and make a brand believe what a packed arena can offer.
THE ROLE
You will be the person who turns “never heard of it” into a signed sponsorship deal. That means two very different conversations, often in the same week - getting a foot in the door with a brand executive and then discussing with CMO or Founder to sign the sponsorship contract with us.
WHAT'S EXPECTED FROM YOU
Open doors at the ground level : build real relationships with brand marketing teams who can get you into the room.
Close the deal with CMOs and founders directly : this isn't a role that hands off the hard conversation to someone senior.
Figure out which brands actually belong here : sports & fitness, energy & nutrition, auto & two-wheelers, fintech and lifestyle and go after them with intent, not a spray-and-pray list.
Own the pipeline end to end : from first cold outreach to a signed contract supported by founders.
Build the sponsorship playbook as you go : work closely with the founders to shape packages that make maximises category ROI.
EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
3-7 years in sponsorship sales, media sales or brand partnerships. Prior exposure in revenue generation in Media, Sports industry would be useful
A real track record of closing deals at the CMO/founder level, not just managing accounts someone else opened.
Comfortable moving between a first cold conversation and a boardroom negotiation, often in the same deal cycle.
Startup instincts - lean team, fast calls, no big brand name to lean on yet. You build the credibility as you go.
THE SKILLS THAT ACTUALLY MATTER HERE
Storytelling that makes a CXO see themselves inside an emerging sports that hasn't been told yet. This sport won't sell off a template.
Out-of-the-box thinking - the standard logo and banner pitch doesn't work in a category brands haven't budgeted for. You will have to invent the ask.
Sharp category instinct - knowing exactly why a brand fits before you ever pick up the phone.
A high tolerance for “no” - you are not selling an established property, you are building category belief one conversation at a time.
