Role Description The Cairn Barmer Cathodic Protection role at Comsultech is a full-time, on-site position based in Barmer. This role involves monitoring, operating, and maintaining cathodic protection systems to safeguard pipelines, structures, and related assets from corrosion. Day-to-day tasks include conducting field inspections, recording measurements, troubleshooting system issues, and performing routine maintenance on cathodic protection equipment and associated infrastructure. The role also includes preparing basic technical reports, coordinating with engineers and site supervisors, and ensuring all work follows relevant safety standards and company procedures. The individual in this position will collaborate with other field staff to support project goals and maintain high standards of operational reliability.
Qualifications
Understanding of cathodic protection principles, corrosion control methods, and basic pipeline or infrastructure operations.
Ability to perform field measurements, equipment checks, and routine maintenance activities in outdoor and industrial environments.
Basic technical reporting skills, including documenting inspection results, maintenance activities, and operational observations.
Knowledge of safety practices and willingness to adhere to site safety protocols and industry regulations.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to follow standardized procedures and work instructions.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues, and coordinate tasks on-site.
Relevant technical diploma or degree in engineering, corrosion, or related fields is preferred; prior experience in cathodic protection or pipeline operations is an advantage.
Willingness to work on-site in Barmer and travel within project areas as required.
