How You Succeed
To excel in this role, you'll need to be curious, analytical, and eager to learn. You'll work closely with Product Managers and stakeholders across the bank to support product initiatives, analyse market trends, and identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement. Your ability to interpret data, communicate insights effectively, and contribute ideas will be key to delivering meaningful outcomes and supporting the team's objectives.
What You Do
Your responsibilities will include:
Product Development Support: assist in product initiatives and enhancement projects, including process streamlining and robotic process automation (RPA) initiatives
Performance Monitoring: collate and analyse data to support product performance tracking, business reviews, and management reporting
Market Research & Benchmarking: conduct market and industry research, competitor benchmarking, and market share analysis to identify trends and strategic opportunities
Business Insights: analyse data and research findings to support product strategy, decision-making, and business planning activities
Process Improvement: contribute to initiatives that improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and product delivery processes
Executive Presentation Support: assist in the preparation of presentation materials, reports, and updates for management and stakeholder discussions
Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on other product, strategy, and business initiatives as assigned
Who You Work With
Global Transaction Banking provides comprehensive trade finance, cash management, and transaction banking solutions that help businesses operate and grow across markets. Within the Global Trade Finance team, you'll work alongside product managers and business stakeholders who are responsible for developing innovative solutions and enhancing the trade finance experience for clients. You'll gain valuable insights into how banking products are designed, implemented, and continuously improved to meet evolving customer and market needs.
Who You Are
Open to learning and feedback
Strong sense of curiosity and interest in banking products and financial services
Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills
Comfortable working with data and deriving actionable insights
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Familiarity with data analytics, automation, or process improvement concepts would be advantageous
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree
Learning Objectives
This internship will provide you with:
Exposure to market and industry landscaping techniques used to identify strategic business opportunities
Understanding of the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementation and enhancement
