Electrical Design Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara for an Electrical Design & Planning Engineer. The role involves preparing electrical design documents, drawings, and layouts for projects in line with relevant codes and standards. The engineer will perform load calculations, select appropriate equipment, and develop single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and panel layouts. Daily tasks include coordinating with project managers, civil and mechanical teams, and vendors to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project timelines. The engineer will review technical specifications, support estimation and tender activities, and participate in site visits to validate designs and resolve technical issues. The role also includes updating design revisions, maintaining documentation, and supporting quality assurance and safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and protection systems.
Proficiency in design tools and software such as AutoCAD or similar CAD platforms; familiarity with electrical design software is an advantage.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, standards, and codes; knowledge of relevant national and international electrical standards.
Experience in project planning tasks such as preparing BOQs, estimates, and execution schedules for electrical systems.
Effective communication and coordination skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and vendors.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work on-site in Vadodara and manage multiple assignments within deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; prior experience in electrical design and project planning is preferred.
