Role Description
The Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) is a 12-month fixed-term contract role, based on-site in Portugal, with remote working also considered for candidates based elsewhere in Europe.
The successful candidate will design and implement Pega-based enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements, architectural principles and technical best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Define system architecture and technical solutions for complex enterprise applications.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical designs.
Configure and customise Pega solutions in line with established standards and best practices.
Oversee integrations between Pega applications, APIs, external systems and enterprise middleware.
Review and optimise application performance, scalability, security and reliability.
Lead technical design sessions and provide technical guidance and mentoring to development teams.
Promote the use of Pega standards, reusable components and development best practices.
Support testing activities, troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure the quality of delivered solutions.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery processes, technical standards and overall solution quality.
Qualifications
Strong systems architecture and systems design skills, with experience designing complex and scalable enterprise solutions.
Hands-on software development experience, ideally using the Pega platform and related technologies.
Strong background in systems engineering, including performance tuning, security, scalability and reliability.
Proven experience integrating Pega applications with APIs, third-party systems and enterprise middleware.
Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) certification.
Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical designs and practical implementation plans.
Experience leading, mentoring or providing technical guidance to development teams within a consulting or enterprise environment.
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Portuguese language skills would be an advantage.
