Role Description This is a full-time Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst role based in the Pune. The GIS Analyst will be responsible for collecting, managing, and analyzing spatial and non-spatial data using GIS applications and tools. Day-to-day tasks include creating and geo-referencing cadastral maps and geodatabases, performing spatial analysis, generating reports and visualizations, and supporting project teams with geographic insights. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, validate data quality, and present findings in a clear, accessible format. The GIS Analyst will also contribute to process improvements, documentation, and adherence to data management standards.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and GIS Analysis, with experience using common GIS platforms and tools.
Hands-on experience with GIS Applications and Data Management, including building and maintaining geodatabases and spatial datasets.
Demonstrated Analytical Skills for interpreting complex spatial data, identifying patterns, and supporting data-driven decisions.
Ability to present GIS outputs through clear maps, dashboards, and reports, with attention to detail and data accuracy.
Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced certifications in GIS are an advantage.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of the team.
