Founding Engineer / Technical Lead

We are looking for a Founding Engineer / Technical Lead to join as Platora’s technical cofounder and take ownership of the CTO side of the company.
The public facing product, business model, pricing, and distribution strategy are already established. The focus of this role is building and owning the deeper technical infrastructure required to make the platform fully operational and scalable.
You will be responsible for the technical architecture, backend systems, automation, APIs and external integrations, cloud infrastructure, databases, data processing, dashboards, monitoring, reliability, and overall engineering execution.
This is a hands on founding role. Early on, you should be capable of personally architecting and building core systems rather than only managing developers. As Platora grows, you will lead the developers and technical operations working underneath your units.
Founder Structure
Platora Plates is divided into four operating units:
CEO Unit: 25%
CMO Unit: 25%
CTO Unit: 25%
COO Unit: 25%
You own and operate the CTO and Operations units, representing 50% of company profits quarterly.
The primary role is CTO, with the Operations unit covering the technical operations required to keep the platform functioning and scaling.
Compensation is unit based through company profits. This is not a salaried developer position, freelance contract, agency opportunity, or performance based pay structure. As long as you own and operate those units, your compensation is tied to those units.
What we’re looking for
Strong experience in backend development, automation, APIs and integrations, cloud infrastructure, databases, data pipelines, monitoring, reliability, and building production systems end to end. You should be comfortable making independent technical decisions, solving unfamiliar technical problems, and eventually leading a development and technical operations team.
U.S. citizenship is required, and applicants must currently be based in the United States.
