We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our Network Engineering team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional who thrives in large-scale, multi-vendor environments and is passionate about building, optimizing, and supporting critical network infrastructure.
Role Overview
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will lead network deployment and migration initiatives, oversee PoP (Point of Presence) builds, manage circuit turn-ups, and ensure successful network go-lives. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, carriers, and technology vendors to deliver highly available and scalable network solutions across global environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end PoP (Point of Presence) build projects and network expansion initiatives.
Create, maintain, and update High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
Perform and maintain network inventory updates within Nautobot.
Manage carrier circuit turn-ups, testing, validation, and service activation activities.
Oversee and coordinate network go-live events.
Execute data center-to-PoP migration projects while minimizing downtime and operational impact.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure successful circuit delivery and issue resolution.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network infrastructure issues.
Support network optimization, capacity planning, and service improvement initiatives.
Maintain network standards, documentation, and operational procedures.
Participate in change management, deployment planning, and implementation activities.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Network Engineering.
Proven experience in network operations and service optimization within highly available enterprise environments.
Experience supporting large-scale, multi-vendor, multi-site, global network infrastructures.
Strong expertise in WAN technologies and protocols, including SR-TE, MPLS, DWDM, and DMVPN.
Strong knowledge of dynamic routing protocols, including OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP, and BGP.
Experience with network operating systems and platforms, including Linux, Cumulus Linux, Cisco IOS, and Arista EOS.
Hands-on experience with virtualization and overlay networking technologies, including VXLAN, MP-BGP, and VRFs.
Demonstrated expertise working with vendors to manage circuit delivery, migrations, troubleshooting, and service optimization.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
CCIE certification or equivalent expert-level networking certification is preferred.

Experience with network automation and infrastructure management tools.
Exposure to cloud networking and hybrid connectivity architectures.
Experience supporting large-scale data center environments and migration projects.
