Executive Director, Head of Real-World Analytics and Programming

For our client, we are seeking a Executive Director, Head of Real-World Analytics and Programming to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.
This leader will shape the strategy and execution of real-world evidence capabilities that support both scientific and business priorities across the organization. The role will guide cross-functional partners to translate real-world data into actionable insights, while strengthening standards, processes, and analytical rigor. This is a highly visible leadership position with influence across Medical Affairs, data teams, and regulatory-facing work.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $252,000 – $315,000 annually
Responsibilities
Develop and implement the strategy and roadmap for real-world analytics and programming supporting clinical and business priorities
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver Medical Affairs interventional studies effectively
Assess and guide the use of real-world data sources for answering key scientific and business questions
Provide authoritative leadership for real-world evidence study design, statistical analysis planning, and final reporting
Establish rigorous epidemiologic and biostatistical methods aligned with global regulatory guidance
Develop scalable programming standards, quality control processes, and documentation for analytics activities
Collaborate with IT and data teams to create efficient data pipelines and analytics environments
Qualifications
PhD, DSc, DrPH, MPH, or an advanced degree in a related scientific discipline required
15+ years of experience in real-world analytics and evidence generation in pharma or biotech
Proven success leading complex real-world data and real-world evidence programs from strategy to execution, study design to regulatory submission
Experience building and transforming real-world analytics and programming capabilities, including setting up standards and processes
Strong expertise in various real-world data sources, including claims and EHR, and proficiency with analytic tools like R, SAS, and Python
In-depth technical knowledge of epidemiologic, biostatistical, and data science methods vital to the role
