UI/UX Designer

Company Description Quant Memo is a free learning platform for quantitative finance. It brings together over five thousand concept articles, four thousand interview questions with worked solutions, interactive tools and structured learning roadmaps in one place. The platform is used by students preparing for quant and trading roles, professionals moving into the field and practitioners keeping their fundamentals sharp. It is independently built and growing, with most of its readers today arriving through organic search.
Role Description This is a paid, remote internship. The UI/UX Designer is responsible for improving existing flows and designing new features across the platform, which serves a large content library in light and dark themes and on mobile. Day-to-day work includes auditing existing pages and flows and proposing improvements supported by clear reasoning; designing new features from brief to handoff-ready screens in Figma, including states, responsive layouts and dark mode; maintaining and extending the design system across typography, spacing, components and colour tokens; using usage data and session recordings to identify friction and validate design changes; and reviewing shipped work against the design. The position works directly with the founder, who implements the designs, and every accepted design ships to production under your name. The stipend is INR 15,000 to 25,000 per month depending on experience, with an internship certificate and a letter of recommendation on successful completion.
Qualifications
A portfolio with web or mobile product work, shipped or academic.
Proficiency in Figma, including components, auto layout and prototyping.
Strong understanding of typography, hierarchy, spacing and accessibility basics.
Ability to explain design decisions clearly in writing.
Experience designing content-heavy or education products, or basic HTML and CSS, is a plus.
