VP, Cybersecurity Operations and Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a VP, Cybersecurity Operations and Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Media space.
This leader will own enterprise cybersecurity operations and engineering with a focus on strengthening governance, incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management across the organization.
The role will partner closely with technology and engineering teams to evaluate security tools, integrate solutions, and support cyber risk and compliance efforts.
It is a highly visible leadership position that requires both strategic oversight and hands-on expertise in cloud security, identity management, and enterprise architecture.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $225,000 – $300,000 annually
Responsibilities
Lead and mature the enterprise cybersecurity operations and engineering programs
Develop cybersecurity policies and maintain governance forums
Oversee security operations and incident response processes
Manage threat intelligence and vulnerability management capabilities
Support cyber risk assessments and compliance efforts
Guide security tool selection and integration with engineering teams
Foster a high-performing team culture in cybersecurity management
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience
12+ years in cybersecurity, with a focus on enterprise security program leadership
7+ years of experience managing teams across multiple cybersecurity domains
Expertise in cybersecurity governance and program management
Deep knowledge of frameworks and regulatory requirements such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS
Technical expertise in cloud security, identity management, and enterprise architecture
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
