Associate Vice President, AI&D Scaled Operations and Transformation

For our client, we are seeking a Associate Vice President, AI&D Scaled Operations and Transformation to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.
This leadership role will shape how the organization scales AI and data-driven operations across the enterprise. The position will translate strategy into practical operating mechanisms, strengthen governance, and create clear accountability across teams and partners. It will also drive continuous improvement, performance visibility, and enterprise-wide AI capability building in a highly regulated biopharma environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $265,133 – $358,709 annually
Responsibilities
Define and evolve AI&D operating models and standards across teams
Establish repeatable mechanisms for work delivery, including standards and handoff patterns
Translate AI&D strategy into practical operating mechanisms with clear accountability
Drive performance KPIs and management mechanisms for timely insights into outcomes
Lead continuous-improvement efforts to surface friction and resolve issues
Establish partner operating standards and governance for AI&D interactions
Lead enterprise AI literacy and capability development strategies
Qualifications
Doctorate degree and 7 years of transformation experience, or Master's degree and 10 years of transformation experience, or Bachelor's degree and 12 years of transformation experience
7 years of managerial experience leading teams, projects, or directing resource allocation
15+ years of progressive leadership experience across technology, AI/data, or digital transformation
Experience designing and scaling enterprise operating models
Proven experience leading global teams and influencing senior executives
Experience in biopharma/life sciences and regulated environments
