Sr. Director of Software Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Director of Software Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.
This leader will guide a broad software engineering organization with a strong focus on the employee experience and the delivery of AI-native product capabilities. The role will partner closely with product, business, and executive stakeholders to align priorities, strengthen execution, and translate strategy into measurable customer value. It is well suited for a hands-on technical leader who can raise the bar across architecture, quality, security, and engineering practices while building a high-performing leadership team.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $160,000 – $200,000 annually
Responsibilities
Own engineering outcomes for the employee journey across multiple teams
Align leaders around a unified employee-journey strategy
Lead AI-native product development with measurable customer value
Transform engineering practices to enhance speed, quality, and learning
Establish reliable execution through clear operating mechanisms
Build a high-performing engineering leadership team
Set technical standards for architecture, quality, and security
Qualifications
15+ years in software development and engineering leadership
5+ years in a Director-level role leading multiple SaaS teams
Strong product and business judgment with customer focus
Experience integrating AI into engineering leadership
Proven track record in leading AI-native product development
Strong execution discipline from strategy to delivery
Exceptional communication skills across functions and with executives
