Director, Biostatistics

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Biostatistics to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.
This role will guide biostatistics strategy across multiple clinical studies, with a strong emphasis on global registration trials and submission readiness. The Director will partner closely with clinical, regulatory, and study teams to strengthen study design, manage risk, and advance development objectives. This position also calls for leadership in team capability building, deliverable oversight, and thought leadership across complex statistical programs.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $205,000 – $269,100 annually
Responsibilities
Translate departmental strategic goals into operational objectives for multiple studies.
Oversee and validate deliverables for complex biostatistics projects and coauthor manuscripts.
Collaborate cross-functionally to drive study design and mitigate risks.
Lead as the principal statistician in global registration trials and manage statistical activities.
Assess and enhance team capabilities within biostatistics for effective development.
Manage global submission activities, serving as a subject matter expert in regulatory strategy.
Innovate study designs to meet clinical development objectives efficiently.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience; Master's preferred.
Ph.D. in Biostatistics or a related area.
Expertise in directing multiple complex biostatistics projects, including immunogenicity, biomarkers, and safety.
Strong publication record demonstrating relevant experience.
Proven ability to apply statistical skills across diverse phases of clinical development.
Experience building internal and external networks as a recognized thought leader.
Direct management experience leading a team, including budget oversight.
