Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Developer C++ role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Software Developer will design, implement, and maintain C++ applications that support internal operations and technical services for the energy sector. Daily tasks include writing clean and efficient code, optimizing performance, debugging and troubleshooting software issues, and integrating applications with back-end systems. The role involves collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate technical needs into robust software solutions, and participate in code reviews and documentation. The developer will also contribute to continuous improvement, including refactoring existing code and adopting best practices in software design and testing.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong foundations in Computer Science and Software Development.
Candidates should possess skills in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with solid experience in C++.
Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development, including working with APIs, databases, and server-side logic.
Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and deliver reliable, maintainable code.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with software testing, debugging tools, and performance optimization techniques.
Previous experience in industrial or energy-sector applications is an advantage.
Professional proficiency in English for technical communication and documentation.
