Senior Go Developer

What We’re Looking For
5+ years of commercial development experience in any programming language.
2+ years of commercial production experience with Go. Idiomatic Go, unit testing, active participation in code review.
API design with backward compatibility in mind. Understanding of distributed systems (CAP theorem, saga, outbox, 2PC).
Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
Confident work with OLTP databases: schema design, migrations, understanding of replication and sharding. Proactive approach to caching.
Metrics, alerting, distributed tracing, graceful shutdown, circuit breaker, rate limiter — a standard part of your development practice.
Understanding of zero-downtime deployment, Docker, and the 12-factor app methodology. Profiling and bottleneck identification.
Secure handling of secrets (Vault, K8s Secrets), understanding of authn/authz.
Full ownership of your work, from development through deployment. Constructive feedback to colleagues and initiative in shaping the technical backlog.
Awareness of business context, accurate task estimation with risk flagging. Ability to justify decisions and propose alternatives.
Use of AI as an everyday development tool.
Russian language proficiency.
Nice to Have
Experience with NATS.
Experience with Kafka.
Ability to design a service architecture from scratch based on a high-level task description.
Experience rewriting a legacy codebase in Go (we’re migrating from PHP).
Open-source contribution experience.
