We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join an international digital transformation programme supporting large-scale enterprise applications used across European institutions. You will work on mission-critical systems that manage sensitive information and support collaborative workflows, document management, policy implementation and digital services used by thousands of users.
You will become part of a multicultural and highly collaborative environment, contributing to the development, modernization and continuous improvement of complex business applications built on modern Java and Angular technologies, cloud-native architectures and DevOps practices.
What you will do
Design, develop and maintain modern full-stack enterprise applications using Java and Angular technologies.
Develop responsive and user-friendly web interfaces while ensuring high performance across browsers and devices.
Implement robust backend services, business logic and API integrations.
Design and optimise database structures, queries and data flows within relational database environments.
Contribute to the development of scalable, secure and maintainable software architectures.
Apply security best practices including authentication, authorization, input validation, logging and monitoring.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services.
Perform code reviews and ensure code quality, consistency and maintainability.
Create and execute unit, integration and automated tests.
Troubleshoot, debug and resolve application issues in development and production environments.
Participate in CI/CD processes, containerisation initiatives and cloud deployments.
Collaborate closely with developers, architects, analysts and stakeholders to deliver business solutions.
Produce and maintain technical documentation.
Support production systems through investigation of application logs, databases and repositories as part of Level 3 support activities.
Contribute to Agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
What we are looking for
University degree or equivalent higher education qualification.
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in software engineering and application development.
Strong experience with Java and Spring-based development environments.
Extensive experience with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
Proven experience developing applications with Angular.
Solid experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
Strong understanding of software design principles, secure coding practices and application architecture.
Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integration services.
Experience with JPA/Hibernate and modern backend development practices.
Knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and automated testing practices.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum environments.
Experience using Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within international multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication skills in English (B2 level or higher).
Eligibility to obtain EU security clearance.
Nice to have
Experience with Quarkus, JSF, EJB, Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi or Apache Ignite.
Knowledge of Elasticsearch and SonarQube.
Experience with Hexagonal Architecture and Test-Driven Development.
Oracle Java certifications.
Knowledge of French.
