Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer Intern will support the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for robotic systems at Qnion Robotics Pvt. Ltd. This on-site internship role is based in the Pune District and involves working closely with engineers to create 3D models, detailed drawings, and documentation using CAD tools. Day-to-day tasks include assisting in concept development, performing basic calculations and design validations, participating in design reviews, and incorporating feedback into updated designs. The intern will also help prepare prototypes, coordinate with fabrication teams, and contribute to testing and refinement of mechanical systems to ensure performance, safety, and manufacturability.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with applied knowledge of Design Engineering and Machine Design.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for modeling, drafting, and detailing mechanical components.
Interest and basic experience in Product Design, including translating functional requirements into practical mechanical solutions.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, perform basic tolerance and fit analyses, and follow design standards.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a collaborative, on-site environment.
Familiarity with prototyping methods, materials selection, and basic manufacturing processes is an advantage.
