The Role
We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Group Coordinator to join our Electrical Engineering Unit, providing vital operational and coordination support within a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting senior leaders and engineering teams across a broad range of activities, including but not limited to workforce planning, resource allocation, recruitment activity, and key operational processes. Key Responsibilities:
As Group Coordinator, you’ll be at the centre of day-to-day operations, supporting Group Leaders and ensuring teams have the information, resources and coordination they need to succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinate workforce planning activities, including processing resource requests, monitoring resource allocation and supporting capacity planning across the Group.
Maintain oversight of staff allocation, ensuring commitments align with project priorities, forecasted budgets and operational requirements.
Provide high-quality business support to Group Leaders, including diary management, meeting coordination, action tracking, communications and the production of key management information.
Deliver comprehensive secretariat support for technical meetings, including agenda preparation, document collation, minute taking and monitoring actions through to completion.
Produce, maintain and analyse a range of technical documentation, reports, dashboards and performance metrics to support operational decision-making.
Maintain and develop Group SharePoint sites, document libraries and information management systems, ensuring documentation is accurate, accessible and compliant with UKAEA processes.
Identify opportunities to improve business processes, workforce planning and document management, helping to drive consistency and continuous improvement across the Group.
Build effective relationships with Group Leaders, Team Leaders and stakeholders, representing the Group at meetings where appropriate and providing guidance and support to colleagues.
Promote UKAEA's values and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing working environment while ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in coordination, operations support, project support or administration
Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, SharePoint and Planner
Experience working with data, reporting, or dashboards
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and implement improvements
The confidence to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
Desirable Experience
Experience supporting technical, engineering or project-based teams
Exposure to workforce planning, resource coordination or PMO environments
Experience with business systems and process improvement initiatives
