POSITION: Senior Health Data Scientist & Analytics Lead
EXPERIENCE: 5+ Years
WORK MODE: On-Site
LOCATION: Science City, Ahmedabad
ENGAGEMENT: Contractual 6 Months - Extendable

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary Skills:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Analytics Engineering, or related roles
• Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, Statistics, and Data Analysis
• Strong experience working with large longitudinal and time-series datasets
• Strong expertise in clustering, segmentation, PCA/dimensionality reduction, multivariate analysis, anomaly detection, trend analysis, and Machine Learning
• Ability to independently explore datasets without predefined business questions and discover non-obvious patterns, user segments, behavioral/physiological profiles, and new hypotheses
• Strong understanding of correlation vs causation, confounding factors, bias, statistical significance, uncertainty, and robustness validation
• Experience with data-quality validation, anomaly investigation, ETL pipelines, APIs, database/data-model validation, and root-cause analysis
• Ability to validate calculations/algorithms and trace data issues across source → application → backend → database → analytical layer
• Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable product and business insights
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills
Good to Have:
• Experience in wearables, digital health, healthcare, fitness, sports science, or remote patient monitoring
• Understanding of physiological data such as Heart Rate, HRV, Resting HR, Sleep, Activity, Exercise, and Recovery
• Experience developing or validating health scores, personalized baselines, and recommendation models
• Experience researching and applying peer-reviewed scientific literature and public-health datasets
• PostgreSQL / MongoDB / cloud data platforms / BI exposure
• AI/LLM-assisted analytics experience
Key Expectation:
We are NOT looking for a conventional BI/dashboard analyst. We need someone capable of moving beyond "what happened?" and discovering "what is hidden in the data that we have not yet thought to ask?"
