Role Description The Electrical Engineer at BHEL Lara is a full-time, on-site role based in Barh. The role involves designing, reviewing, and optimizing electrical systems and components for power generation and distribution projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing technical drawings and specifications, performing calculations and simulations, supporting installation and commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical issues in coordination with project teams. The Electrical Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality guidelines. The role also includes monitoring system performance, preparing technical reports, and contributing to process improvements and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong knowledge in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with a solid understanding of fundamental principles and applications.
Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design and Power Systems, including system modeling, analysis, and integration for industrial and utility environments.
Candidates should possess expertise in Power Distribution, covering layout design, equipment selection, and coordination of protection and control systems.
Candidates should possess proficiency with relevant electrical engineering software tools (e.g., CAD, simulation, and analysis tools) and standard industry codes and practices.
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Candidates should possess the ability to work safely on industrial sites, collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Candidates with experience in power plant projects, high-voltage systems, or heavy electrical equipment will be considered an advantage.
