Job Purpose
The candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, monthly book closure, tax compliance, statutory and internal audit coordination, and review of financial controls for Cipla Saudi and Indian subsidiaries. The role will support strong governance, compliance, reporting accuracy, and process automation across finance and controllership activities.
Key Accountabilities (1/5)
Financial Reporting and Book Closure
Prepare Cipla Saudi financials and ensure timely monthly book closure.
Manage financial reporting for Indian subsidiaries, including monthly reviews, quarterly P&L reviews, half-yearly financial reviews, and annual financial review with notes to accounts.
Validate XBRL financial data and ensure accuracy of statutory reporting disclosures.
Review Fixed Assets Register and ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with books of accounts.
Perform impairment GL and FAR reconciliation, including identification of automation opportunities.
Key Accountabilities (2/5)
Tax ation and Regulatory Compliance
Prepare advance tax calculations for subsidiaries and ensure timely tax compliance.
Validate Effective Tax Rate and support tax provisioning activities.
Coordinate tax audits and Income Tax Return filing requirements.
Prepare CSR workings and DPT-3 workings as per regulatory requirements.
Review omnibus approvals and maintain overview of related party transactions.
Key Accountabilities (3/5)
Audit, Controls and Governance
Coordinate statutory audit and internal audit activities for subsidiaries.
Support IFC verification by internal auditors, statutory auditors, and through self-assessment.
Review financial controls and ensure effective control design and operating effectiveness.
Review Delegation of Authority and recommend modifications wherever required.
Prepare and support board meeting presentations for subsidiary matters.
Key Accountabilities (4/5)
SAP, Systems and Process Improvements
Support SAP implementation and modifications for new and existing entities.
Manage change request controls for SAP-related finance requirements.
Identify and contribute to automation opportunities in reconciliation and reporting processes.
Key Accountabilities (5/5)
Stakeholder Management and Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with corporate teams and subsidiary finance teams through controller forums.
Work with internal auditors, statutory auditors, tax consultants, and business stakeholders to close reporting, audit, and compliance deliverables.
Support cost allocation ratio finalization for common resources and cross-charge requirements.
Education Qualification
Qualified Chartered Accountant / MBA.
Relevant Work Experience
Overall 7+ years of work experience required including 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing finance roles.
Skills Required
Strong understanding of financial reporting, book closure, audit, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
Knowledge of SAP finance processes, fixed asset accounting, reconciliations, and financial controls.
Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and drive timely closure of deliverables.
Analytical mindset with focus on accuracy, governance, process improvement, and automation.
Good communication and presentation skills for board and management-level reporting.
