Senior Design Engineer – Sustenance Engineering / Mumbai Dombivli
Job Description
Purpose :
Responsible for sustaining existing products, addressing field issues, implementing engineering changes, cost reduction, quality improvements, reliability enhancement, and supporting manufacturing and service teams.
Key Responsibilities :
Root cause analysis of field failures
Design modifications and engineering change management
Cost reduction initiatives
Product reliability improvements
Manufacturing support
Vendor development support
Customer complaint resolution
Technical documentation and design reviews
Coordination with quality, production and sourcing teams
Experience :
8-10 years in mechanical/product design
Experience in sustaining engineering
Exposure to manufacturing environment
Experience in handling customer and field issues
Technical Skills :
Engineering drawings, GD&T, CAD software -
DFMEA/PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis
Reliability Engineering, DFM/DFA
Engineering calculations, Material selection
Change management process
