Role Description The Mechanical Engineering Intern will support consulting and implementation projects related to process, operational, and business excellence for clients in various industries. This full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad involves assisting in technical data collection and analysis, preparing engineering documentation, and contributing to process improvement initiatives under the guidance of senior consultants. Day-to-day tasks may include working with mechanical systems and layouts, using CAD tools for basic design and modeling, and supporting the application of quality and Lean methodologies. The intern will help prepare reports and presentations, participate in client meetings, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of project tasks. This role offers exposure to ISO systems, Lean tools, and practical implementation of mechanical engineering concepts in real-world consulting assignments.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering fundamentals and an interest in applying them to process and quality improvement projects.
Candidates should possess Analytical Skills for data interpretation, problem-solving, and identifying improvement opportunities.
Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for creating and modifying basic models, drawings, and layouts.
Candidates should possess Communication skills for clear technical documentation, presentations, and collaboration with clients and internal teams.
Candidates should possess Project Management awareness to assist in planning tasks, tracking progress, and meeting timelines.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Basic understanding of quality tools, Lean concepts, or ISO standards is an advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort working with technical data.
Ability to learn quickly, follow structured methodologies, and work effectively in a team-oriented, on-site consulting environment.
