WE’RE HIRING | ARCHITECT
SCAI – Studio of Contemporary Architecture & Interior Design is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Architect to join our design team in Kolkata.
At SCAI, we work across Architecture, Interior Design and Spatial Design, creating thoughtful, contemporary spaces that balance functionality, materiality and aesthetics.x
THE ROLE
As an Architect at SCAI, you will be involved in both architectural and interior design projects, taking projects from concept to execution.
Key responsibilities:
• Developing architectural and interior design concepts
• Preparing design presentations, drawings and working drawings
• Space planning, detailing and material selection
• Developing furniture, lighting and interior details
• Preparing BOQs, specifications and documentation
• Coordinating with consultants, vendors and contractors
• Conducting site visits and monitoring execution
• Ensuring design intent and quality are maintained throughout the project
• Contributing creatively to the studio’s design language and ongoing projectsx
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• B.Arch / equivalent qualification
• 1–4 years of relevant professional experience
• Strong understanding of architecture and interior design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
• Knowledge of 3D visualization/rendering software will be an advantage
• Good understanding of materials, finishes and construction detailing
• Strong design sensibility and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Willingness to learn, experiment and take ownership of workx
