Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Typesetter InDesign professional. The role involves laying out and formatting books and other publications in Adobe InDesign according to established design templates and typographic standards. Day-to-day tasks include importing and organizing text, applying styles, adjusting spacing and alignment, handling images and tables, and preparing files for print or digital output. The typesetter will collaborate with editors, designers, and project coordinators to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of projects, while addressing layout feedback and making corrections as needed.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Typesetting skills and a high level of Typing accuracy and speed.
Candidates should possess advanced Adobe InDesign skills and familiarity with layout and typography best practices.
Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills for responding professionally to internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates should possess Education-related experience or training in publishing, graphic design, or a similar field.
Candidates should possess attention to detail, the ability to follow style and layout guidelines, and strong time management skills.
Candidates should possess proficiency with PDF workflows, prepress standards, and basic file management in a remote environment.
Relevant experience in book or journal production, familiarity with other Adobe Creative Cloud tools, and prior remote collaboration experience are beneficial.
