About the role:
We are looking for a skilled Validation Engineer to join a cutting-edge semiconductor engineering team focused on next-generation IPU, DPU, and networking technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for developing validation strategies, creating automated test frameworks, and ensuring the reliability and performance of complex hardware and software solutions across pre-silicon and system-level environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive validation test plans for IPU cards and related hardware platforms.
Design and implement Python-based test automation frameworks and validation tools.
Perform pre-silicon and post-silicon/system-level validation activities.
Set up, configure, and maintain simulation and emulation environments.
Validate Linux systems, kernel components, and device drivers.
Debug and troubleshoot firmware, hardware, driver, and system-level issues.
Support bring-up, validation, and debugging of new IPU card revisions.
Execute functional, integration, regression, and stress testing.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and drive issue resolution.
Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, software, and architecture teams.
Document validation coverage, test results, and defect reports.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in hardware or system validation within semiconductor environments.
Strong Python programming skills with experience developing automation frameworks.
Experience with Linux system validation, kernel testing, and driver validation.
Strong debugging skills across hardware, firmware, and software layers.
Experience with defect tracking and regression testing methodologies.
Hands-on experience with hardware debugging and system bring-up.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of IPU, DPU, SmartNIC, NIC, or networking technologies.
Experience with pre-silicon validation environments, simulators, or emulators.
Familiarity with networking validation tools such as iPerf, IXIA, or Scapy.
Understanding of PCIe, Ethernet, virtualization, and data center technologies.
