Role Description The Laboratory Technician role at Seeds Institute of Medical Lab Technology is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The Laboratory Technician will perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment in accordance with established protocols. Responsibilities include maintaining and calibrating laboratory instruments, monitoring quality control procedures, and accurately recording and reporting test results. The role also involves following safety and infection-control guidelines, organizing laboratory supplies, and supporting instructors or senior staff in practical demonstrations and training sessions. The technician will collaborate with colleagues to ensure reliable, timely, and compliant laboratory operations.
Qualifications
Strong laboratory skills, including sample preparation, test execution, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
Experience working with laboratory equipment, including operation, calibration, and routine maintenance.
Knowledge of quality control processes and ability to implement and document quality assurance measures.
Well-developed analytical skills to interpret test results, identify anomalies, and troubleshoot basic technical issues.
Prior experience or training as a laboratory technician in a clinical or educational setting.
Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field from a recognized institution.
Understanding of laboratory safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance standards.
Attention to detail, reliable record-keeping, and ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
Basic computer skills for data entry, laboratory information systems, and report generation.
