Senior Software Engineer (Coating Machine Software)

Your Role
Around 80% of the world’s microchips are produced with ZEISS technology. As the heart of every electronic system, these chips power smartphones, smart homes, and smart factories. ZEISS leads in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, providing precision lithography optics, photomask systems, and process-control solutions to enable smaller, more powerful, and more energy-efficient chips.
By ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technologies (SMT), you will be responsible for high-quality software development as part of a well-functioning agile team, review code commits, mentor junior colleagues, design and implement CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate closely with the software architect, requirements- and other senior software engineer.
The role of Senior Software Engineer will involve:
Develop high-quality software solution as part of a well-functioning agile team;
Review code commits;
Mentor for junior colleagues;
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps;
Technical alignment with stakeholders and architects;
Work together closely with software architects, requirement- and software engineers.
Your Experience
A degree in business information technology or a comparable qualification;
Confident handling of C# and .NET 8 and above;
Confident handling of WPF;
Experience in modular software design and/or plugin-architecture is beneficial;
Experience using WCF and GraphQL frameworks is beneficial;
OOP, SOLID principles, software design patterns (GoF).
It would be desirable if you had:
System thinking mindset: able to understand and implement complex plugin-like software architectures;
Good command on English and/or German both written and spoken.
