CDD Process Expert

Your new role
As a process expert within the KYC department, you play a key role in translating regulatory, business, and operational requirements into clear solutions. You act as a bridge between KYC tribe, operations, and IT, ensuring the KYC processes, systems and data flows effectively support regulatory compliance and ING’s risk appetite.
Key responsibilities
Analyze and document KYC processes, requirements, and regulatory changes within the CDD tribe.
Translate business and compliance needs into functional requirements, user stories and process flows for IT and delivery teams.
Act as a liaison between KYC stakeholders, product owners, developers, and testing teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Support the design and implementation of KYC tools, and enhancements, ensuring alignment with ING’s policy both globally and locally.
Assess impacts of regulatory changes on KYC processes and tooling, and contribute to solution designs.
Participate in workshops, refinements, and stakeholder meetings to clarify requirements and priorities.
Support testing activities (UAT, functional testing) by defining test scenarios and validating delivered solutions.
Identify process improvements and contribute to continuous optimization of KYC operations.
Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer to relevant stakeholders.
How to succeed
We're seeking an analytical and collaborative professional who thrives in a regulatory-driven environment and is passionate about improving KYC processes and customer due diligence outcomes. You can translate complex business and regulatory requirements into practical solutions while effectively engaging stakeholders across business, operations, compliance, and technology.
Furthermore you bring:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or a similar role within banking or financial services.
Strong knowledge of KYC, AML, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear functional specifications and process improvements.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
Fluent in English, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, regulatory-driven environment; experience working in Agile teams and knowledge of Dutch and/or French are considered an asset.
