Senior Manager, Finance

Job Description:
The Senior Manager, Finance provides strategic financial leadership across multiple business units or a major enterprise function. This role elevates financial planning, forecasting, and performance management by shaping long‑range financial strategy, delivering executive‑ready insights, and influencing senior leadership decisions. The Sr. Manager oversees a team of analysts and managers, drives planning governance and ensures financial accuracy and integrity. This role leads enterprise‑level initiatives that improve financial performance, data quality, and operational efficiency.
The role is a key business partner to the European Commercial organization, works closely with the European Sales Leadership team and interfaces with key executives and functions including the CFO. Provides leadership to improve financial results in Revenue and Margin Expansion, Working Capital and Operating Expense optimization and assists the group in positioning itself to become the leader in its European markets through strategic investment and the best deployment of its capital.
Responsible for all aspects of operations finance and accounting including budgets/forecasts, capital appropriation activity, Sales & Marketing, pricing, contracts, other analysis. Undertakes the development, maintenance and improvement of internal controls to insure accuracy and predictability of results, timely reporting and consolidation of results and forecasts, analysis of variations and the determination of countermeasures.
Job Requirements:
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver accurate monthly financial statements and forecasts according to local statutory and U.S. GAAP:
Two- to three-day close required internally
Analytics on European revenue situations, trends, risks and opportunities
Analysis of gross margins, forecast variances and operating expenses
Engagement of key global team members in commitment to forecast
Create a ‘no surprises’ culture on forecasts
Focus on internal controls to ensure accuracy
Partners with cross‑functional leaders to drive business results, using financial insight to influence outcomes beyond finance
Partner with senior business leaders on growth, investment, and productivity initiatives
Own and lead enterprise‑level annual budgets, forecasts, and long‑range strategic planning across multiple business units or functions
Set planning calendars, assumptions, and guidance; ensure alignment to strategic priorities and leadership direction
Drive scenario planning (base/upside/downside) and quantify risks/opportunities with mitigation plans
Lead financial performance reviews, synthesizing insights for senior leadership and executive committees
Develop/oversee business cases (ROI/NPV), resource allocation analyses, and trade‑off recommendations
Track initiative performance and ensure benefits realization against commitments
Act as finance lead for major initiatives such as M&A integration, footprint strategy, capital allocation, and organizational design
Manage, mentor, and develop the team, establishing clear expectations, delivering actionable feedback, and building a strong leadership pipeline with succession and promotion readiness
Influence across Finance and the business; act as a role model for executive presence and business partnering
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and governance processes while partnering closely with Accounting and internal audit
Create ad-hoc reports and analysis as required
Maintain high ethical standards and serve as a trusted advisor by providing fact‑based, unbiased financial insights—even when recommendations are unpopular
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field); advanced certifications or an advanced degree is strongly preferred
10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance; 3+ years leading teams, including people leaders
Proven ownership of budget/forecast/strategic plan for a complex scope (multi‑function, multi‑site, or multi‑product)
Track record of AI adoption to improve processes and productivity
Demonstrated ability to lead executive reviews and influence senior stakeholders
Ability to work on-site during core business hours; extended hours may be required during quarter and year-end close as well as budget and forecast cycles
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
Experience with large, automated accounting and reporting systems (preferable Oracle, Tableau, HFM, OneStream), including data extract and report compilation
Experience operating in US GAAP environment and working knowledge of SOX, controls, and procedures

Exceptional executive communication, including financial storytelling and board‑level presentation development
Experience managing multi‑functional teams and scaling FP&A capabilities across an enterprise

Strong organizational agility and ability to thrive in a high‑growth, fast‑paced environment
