Job Summary
As a Junior Quality Engineer, you will support the quality team in executing day-to-day quality control activities, assisting in new project launches, maintaining product quality standards, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to grow in a manufacturing quality environment.
Role Responsibilities
· Support cross-functional teams in new project launches and intercompany project transfers.
· Assist in maintaining and executing product quality criteria across all processes; support optimization efforts under senior guidance.
· Participate in and support customer complaint investigations from a quality perspective, including data collection and root cause analysis.
· Assist in training inspectors and technicians on product quality criteria; support the development and optimization of the inspection system.
· Work with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives for COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) targets at department and plant level.
· Assist in preparing PPAP documentation and track submission status until customer approval is obtained.
· Participate in PFMEA and Control Plan development and review from a quality perspective.
· Support LPA (Layered Process Audit) implementation in the plant, including audit execution and tracking corrective actions to closure.
· Support the Quality Manager in driving internal and external audits, including preparation and follow-up of audit findings.
· Other tasks assigned by the Quality Manager and higher-level managers (QMS maintenance, quality activities, etc.).
Key Qualifications & Requirements
Education Qualification:
· Bachelor's degree (Engineering preferred).
Technical Competence & Skills:
· Basic knowledge of quality management systems (ISO9001 / IATF16949).
· Familiarity with or willingness to learn APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, and FMEA methodologies.
· Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Relevant Experience:
· 3 years of working experience in quality engineering or a related manufacturing role;
Others (travel, language, etc.):
· Good command of written and spoken English.
· Strong communication skills and good teamwork spirit.
· Willing to travel as required.
