The successful candidate:
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
The Environmental Services Technician is a member of the City of Hope Environmental Services team and is responsible for performing established cleaning procedures to provide non-clinical sanitation support throughout assigned hospital areas. This role operates equipment and utilizes appropriate tools, products, and supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing assigned areas
Cleaning furniture, fixtures, and other common surfaces
Emptying trash and disposing of waste appropriately
Maintaining patient rooms, hallways, offices, and common areas
Following infection prevention, safety, and environmental standards
Supporting a positive patient and visitor experience through excellent customer service
Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience:
Healthcare Environmental Services experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a clean, safe environment
