What You’ll Do At Elekta:
As a Lead Software Developer in Test, you'll play a key role in shaping the quality engineering strategy behind Elekta's radiation therapy treatment systems. Working closely with software engineers, testers, Product Owners, and architects, you'll drive modern test automation practices, champion a shift-left quality culture, and help ensure our products continue to meet the highest standards expected in a safety-critical medical device environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and evolution of automated test frameworks for complex, safety-critical software.
Define and implement test automation strategies that support high-quality software delivery.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency, reliability, and release confidence.
Act as the technical authority for test architecture, tooling, and quality engineering best practices.
Collaborate with development teams, Product Owners, and architects to build scalable and testable solutions.
Mentor and support SDETs, test engineers, and other team members, fostering a quality-first mindset.
Drive continuous improvement through the adoption of new testing technologies, tools, and practices.
Support the investigation and resolution of complex software quality issues and contribute to long-term quality roadmaps.
What You’ll Bring:
Significant experience as a Software Developer in Test, SDET, or Test Automation Engineer, with expertise in designing and owning automation frameworks.
Strong experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and implementing modern DevSecOps practices.
Proven ability to define and drive quality engineering strategies within a regulated or safety-critical environment.
Hands-on experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Cypress, Selenium, or similar automation technologies.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence teams and promote a shift-left testing culture.
Experience troubleshooting complex software quality challenges and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and a passion for delivering high-quality, maintainable software.

Work Pattern (you are required to work from the Crawley HQ 4 days a week with 1-day WFH)
