Role: The Specialist - Global Compensation & Benefits reports to the Vice-President of Human Resources and works closely with the Human Resources and management teams.
The ideal candidate will act with autonomy as a trusted advisor and key player to support the Human Resources function and the management team on compensation best practices (monetary and non-monetary), benefits, salary forecasts, market data analysis, compensation budget and mid- and long-term compensation strategy.
Your Day with Equisoft
Develop and present the global compensation strategy, including proposals, results, and success metrics to executive leadership
Assess, propose and implement strategic recommendations and enhancements to our compensation programs, policies and processes in collaboration with the HR team
Stay updated on best practices to ensure competitive compensation offerings
Serve as the go-to expert for complex compensation questions across the organization
Perform market research and statistical analysis to develop our Global Compensation strategy
Administer the annual compensation planning cycle in Workday, including system configuration, data validation, manager training, processing compensation changes, preparing payroll data, and ensuring 100% accuracy of all calculations and approvals by established deadlines
Recommend and benchmark benefits plans, including health, welfare, and retirement, to ensure competitiveness and compliance with local regulations
Lead the annual benefits renewal process including RFP preparation, vendor management, plan design analysis, cost modeling, and implementation coordination across all jurisdictions by renewal deadlines
Develop coaching and training materials related to their area of expertise for both managers and HR team
Requirements
B.A. in Administration, Industrial Relations, Actuarial Science, Human Resources or other relevant training
10+ years’ experience in global compensation
Excellent knowledge of French and English (oral and written)
Demonstrated experience with Workday, specifically Core HCM (compensation) and Advanced Compensation modules (configuration, reporting, and administration)
Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, data validation, and complex formulas for compensation modeling and forecasting
Very good interpersonal and communication skills
Ease in dealing with members of all levels of management in the organization and with external resources
Experience presenting business cases and program results to senior leadership
Ability to synthesize complex information and present it in clear, accessible terms adapted to diverse audiences, from employees to executive leadership
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex compensation issues independently
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet established deadlines for compensation cycles, benefits renewals, and reporting requirements
Be trustworthy and act with integrity
Work independently with minimal supervision once trained on processes
Nice to Haves:
