Key Responsibilities
Safely handle, sort, process, package and repack waste in accordance with approved procedures and written instructions.
Support waste retrieval, segregation, treatment and packaging activities.
Operate tools and equipment required for waste handling and processing activities, following appropriate training and authorisation.
Adhere to all site safety, radiological protection, environmental and quality requirements.
Wear and correctly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) as required.
Complete operational records, logbooks and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Participate in pre-job briefings, toolbox talks and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping in work areas.
Identify and report hazards, near misses, faults and unsafe conditions.
Work effectively as part of a team to achieve operational objectives while maintaining nuclear safety standards.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance in accordance with company policies
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Ability to follow written instructions, procedures and safety documentation accurately.
Ability to work within a highly regulated environment and comply with strict safety standards.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
A strong commitment to health, safety, quality and environmental protection.
Ability to maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.
Physically capable of undertaking operational activities and wearing PPE and RPE for extended periods where required.
